Rajkot District Team A won the toss and opted to bat. Rajkot District Team A scored 280 runs for loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. Prasham Rajdev scored 80 runs in 85 balls with 6 fours and 1 six. Samar Gajjar scored 70 runs in 55 balls with 6 fours and a six. Hetvik Kotak scored 62 in 108 balls with 6 fours. Pranav Karia scored 25 not out in 12 balls with 2 fours and a six. Adityarajsinh Jadeja and Kushal Seta took 2 wickets each. Rishi Patel, Rakshit Mehta and Rahul Vankani took 1 wicket each.

Chasing 281 runs to win, Rajkot Rural scored 282 for loss of 7 wickets in 42.4 overs. Bhagyarajsinh Chudasama scored 129 runs in 105 balls with 17 fours. Rishi Patel scored 81 runs in 66 balls with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Rakshit Mehta scored 46 in 45 balls with 6 fours and 1 six. Neel Pandya took 3 wickets in 8 overs with 1 maiden giving 55 runs. Abhal Karetha took 2 wickets. Samar Gajjar and Prashant Gohel took 1 wicket each.

Rajkot Rural won the match and became champions of Saurashtra Cricket Association’s Inter-District Under 25 One Day Tournament 2021-22.

Trophy was presented to winner team by Mr. Himanshu Shah, Hon. Secretary, Saurashtra Cricket Association in presence of selectors and dignitaries of Saurashtra Cricket Association. Mr. Himanshu Shah expressed, “ Congratulations to the winning team of Rajkot Rural. Through out the tournament, they have performed exceptionally well. I also congratulate runners up team of Rajkot District Team A for their excellent performance in the tournament. This tournament has been very important one for upcoming Under 25 tournament of BCCI. We shall also be having practice matches for Under 25 before BCCI Tournament begins. BCCI and Saurashtra Cricket Association are committed to play good domestic cricket this season.
