Test Match between India vs England will be played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot from tomorrow 9th November to 13th November 2016. This will be first ever Test Match to be played in the region of Saurashtra. Rajkot being Test Centre is indeed matter of immense pride for all Cricket Fans of this region.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijaybhai Rupani has kindly accepted the invitation of Saurashtra Cricket Association to be present tomorrow, on the first day of the match, i.e. 9th November 2016
In this historic occasion, Hon’ble Chief Minister shall be felicitating those Cricketers who have represented Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy and India in Test Matches. Salim Durani, Karsan Ghavri, Dilip Doshi, Yajurvendra Singh, Dhiraj Parsana, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja and Jaydev Unadkat will be felicitated.
Hon’ble Chief Minister shall also present mementos to both Cricket Boards, i.e. English & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). These mementos will be presented to Manager of ECB and Head Coach of India.
Sitanshu Kotak and Jaydev Shah will also be felicitated for playing more than 100 Ranji Trophy matches.
Memento will also be presented to Stuart Broad as this test match will be his 100th Test Match.
Saurashtra Cricket Association shall also present mementos to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur President of BCCI and Shri Ajay Shirke, Hony Secretary of BCCI
This function shall start from 8:30 a.m.
