The stadium has seating capacity of about 25000 seats. Stadium has three stands, South Pavilion, West Stand and East Stand. It also has corporate hospitality boxes in South Pavilion and West Stand. It also has President Box and Secretary Box.

The stadium was inaugurated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister (at the time Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat) Shri Narendrabhai Modi on 6th January 2013. It was our privilege that foundation Stone of this ultra-modern stadium too was laid by him in presence of legendry Kapil Dev, Cricketer Ajay Jadeja and other dignitaries on 19th January 2006.
The stadium is built about 6 feet above ground level and that gives extra ordinary view to each spectator. Also, boundary line is about 15 metre away from stands and so there is no requirement of grills/fencing and that gives extra ordinary viewing experience to each spectator.
The stadium has cantilever design and no pillar has viewing hindrance to any spectator.
The stadium is fully roofed with unique designs.
This stadium is well designed in such a way that it is one of the most spectator friendly stadium.
The atrium of the stadium is uniquely and beautifully designed. To give respect and recognition to each player who played from Saurashtra or from Saurashtra, their names have been highlighted in this atrium.
The Stadium has ultra modern and well equipped Gym. It has indoor nets with modern bowling and other machines. It has separate practice ground as well as about 21 net practice wickets.
Saurashtra Cricket Stadium has become the Second Cricket Stadium in the country to have Installed 50 kWp solar rooftop system. Saurashtra Cricket Association has also plans to put up additional capacity in the near future to pioneer green power generation.
The stadium is very well equipped with all required facilities and amenities.

Stadium is built amounting approx. Rs. 72.00 crores. This is one of the most cost effective stadium built. BCCI had immensely appreciated Niranjan Shah for building the stadium in most cost-effective manner having excellent design as well as well built, well equipped Stadium.
Stadium has four main entrance. One for South Pavilion, one for West Stand, one for media box and production area and one for East Stand.
Players dressing rooms are one of the largest dressing rooms.
Separate entrance have been provided for players.
Association has its well designed corporate office at the stadium.
Stadium has 18 corporate hospitality boxes in South Pavilion and 25 hospitality boxes in West Stand.
Main ground of this stadium has one of the finest drainage system. Even during heavy rains in a day, there were no issues of water clogging.
All players who have so far played in this stadium have immensely appreciated the ground, stadium and its amenities. Australian Captain George Bailey after T20 international match between India vs Australia expressed that the stadium is simply outstanding! He added that this is probably the best ground and stadium he has so far ever played on.
Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium is selected by BCCI for Test Match Centre as well as IPL Centre. stadium is now centre for all formats of domestic, national and international cricket.
So far, two One Day International Matches, one T20 International match, five IPL matches and many domestic matches/tournaments played here.
