Everyone at Saurashtra Cricket Association are deeply saddened on sad demise of former Curator and Cricketer Kamlesh Makwana’s father Shri Rasikbhai Makwana. He left for heavenly abode today early morning.


Rasikbhai was associated with Saurashtra Cricket Association in curating of grounds and pitches almost since early 80s. He had vast experience and knowledge of curating, soils and their characteristics. He was one of the key person in curating team of Saurashtra Cricket Association for various Cricket Grounds including Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium’s grounds and net practice areas as well as Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium. He has rendered his services as Curator for all formats of Cricket. He had attended many conferences/seminars of BCCI for Curators.


Niranjan Shah, former Hon. Secretary of BCCI & SCA conveyed heartfelt sympathies and expressed, “Rasikbhai was a jovial man and had in-depth knowledge of curating pitches and grounds. His contribution in developing Cricket Grounds of Saurashtra shall always be fondly remembered.”


Everyone in Saurashtra Cricket Association conveys heartfelt condolences to  family members on sad demise of Shri Rasikbhai Makwana and  pray Almighty to grant eternal peace to his noble soul.
