Vivo IPL Fan Park gets bigger and better

Spread across 19 states and covering 36 cities, VIVO IPL Fan Park 2018 looks to reach out to fans and cover regions. Whereas the League embarks upon its 11th IPL season, the Fan Park will engage fans from across the country. BCCI’s initiatives behind Fan Park is to bring electrifying atmosphere of IPL matches to those cities where IPL matches are not held.

IPL Fan Park is BCCI’s initiative to bring stadium like atmosphere to those cities where IPL matches are not held.

The first VIVO IPL Fan Park of 2018 season  held on 7th & 8th April in Raipur, Bhopal, Rajkot and Tirunelveli

This season Rajkot had Fan Park on 7th and 8th April 2018, whereas three matches including Opening Ceremony were shown live at Fan Park on 32’X18’ LED screen with all atmosphere of IPL matches.  VIVO IPL Fan Park was organised at Race Course Ground, near Fun World. On 7th April 2018, Opening Ceremony and match between Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians were shown. And on  8th April, two matches, Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Daredevils & Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bangalore were shown live.

Fan Park  also had kids zone, senior citizen zone, game zone, food stalls etc. Entry was free and furthermore, there was music and multiple stalls of merchandise, and other activations by IPL’s official sponsors, which  added to the electrifying atmosphere.

To add to the excitement, those visiting the Fan Park were eligible for a lucky prize which  included exclusive IPL merchandise and a cool smartphone from VIVO.

Fan Park at Rajkot saw a super turnout of about 8000 cricket enthusiasts on first day and 12000 on second day.

Rajkot witnessed 10 IPL matches during 2016 & 2017 and this season it experienced the exciting moments of Fan Park. BCCI and Saurashtra Cricket Association are grateful to Rajkot Municipal Corporation and Rajkot City Police for their much valued support.
