However, situation was different a day before the Match. Team India completed their practice session at around 5:00 p.m. on 6th November 2019. And then Stormy winds of cyclonic storm ‘Maha’ had hit us at around 6:15 – 6:30. Strong winds and heavy rain started within some minutes and it rained heavily for almost an hour. In the beginning it was nerve cracking but with blessings of mother nature and great efforts by Saurashtra Cricket Association’s Ground Staff team and very efficient drainage system at the stadium it was possible to drain all the water out of the stadium before match. In fact ground was 80-90% dry by 2:00 AM. The pitch and area of almost 100 feet around the pitch was well covered beforehand. The team of Saurashtra Cricket Association was well prepared and well equipped. Ground staff was at the stadium till late night and some of them stayed overnight. This shows dedication, work efficiency and productivity of Administrative and Ground Teams of  Saurashtra Cricket Association. All the machines and other equipment were being provided and used by trained team of curators and ground staff. We are truly blessed and grateful for having such team and we are proud of them.

Similarly, Liaison team of Saurashtra Cricket Association very efficiently and dedicatedly worked with their respective roles & responsibilities. Precise execution of their respective work, as always, made the match well administered. The teams of BCCI were well supportive to make the match one of the very successful ones.
