Saurashtra Team with Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka Shri Vajubhai Vala

Ranji Trophy team of Saurashtra had the great honour of being invited to Karnataka’s State Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru  by Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka State Shri Vajubhai Vala on 22nd January 2019. Team members spent memorable moments with Hon’ble Governor at the Raj Bhavan followed by dinner.

Captain Jaydev Unadkat ,  Cheteshwar Pujara,  Sheldon Jackson,  Harvik Desai,  Snell Patel,  Arpit Vasavada,  Kamlesh Makwana,  Dharmendrasinh Jadeja,  Vishvarajsinh Jadeja, Chirag Jani, Prerak Mankad,  Chetan Sakariya,  Avi Barot,  Kishan Parmar,  Vandit Jivrajani , Hardik Rathod, Head Coach Sitanshu Kotak, Mentor and former captain  Jaydev Shah, Team Physio  Abhishek Thakar and Assistant coach Niraj Odedara were present.

Saurashtra’ hero Cheteshwar Pujara was felicitated by Hon’ble Governor being gloriously instrumental for Historical Australia-India Test Series win in Australia as well as being adjudged as the Player of the Series; and also at present being No. 3 in ICC top ranking Batsmen.  

Hon’ble Governor Shri Vajubhai appreciated Saurashtra’s team performance in current Ranji Trophy as well as earlier performances since last decade in Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and other important domestic tournaments.

Team of Saurashtra as well as everyone in Saurashtra Cricket Association is immensely thankful to Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka Respected Shri Vajubhai Vala for inviting Saurashtra team for dinner. It is indeed matter of pride and honour for everyone in Saurashtra Cricket Association.

Team of Saurashtra has entered Semi Final of Ranji Trophy 2018-19 after Mammoth, comprehensive and remarkable win in Quarter Final match and created record. Saurashtra team’s run-chase of 372 runs in 4th innings of Quarter Final Match against Uttar Pradesh has been highest run-chase so far in history of Ranji Trophy. Earlier in the tournament too, Saurashtra has given some of very memorable performances.

Saurashtra shall play Semi Final Match of Ranji Trophy 2018-19 against Karnataka at M Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium, Bengaluru from 24thJanuary 2019
