Everyone at Saurashtra Cricket Association are deeply sadden on sad demise of Yesteryear’s prominent Cricketer Shri Madhav Apte. He was 86 years old.


Madhavji was classy Opening batsman and had represented Team India in 7 Test Matches, scoring 543 runs with highest 163 not out.  He had scored a century on his debut in Ranji Trophy playing for Bombay against Saurashtra.  He had scored total 3336 runs in 67 first class matches that he played.


His contribution to the World of Cricket shall be profoundly remembered.


Everyone in Saurashtra Cricket Association conveys heartfelt condolences to  family members on sad demise of Shri Madhvji and  pray Almighty to grant eternal peace to his noble soul.
